Map-envelope

What better way to share your whereabouts and doings with your friends than to print it on the inside of an envelope? Mapenvelope is the genius creation of Beste Miray who wanted to share her whereabouts with a friend on the other side of the world; and it's all very well describing the place, but isn't it so much better to show a satellite image that literally pinpoints your location in the world to make sharing more interesting?

Mapenvelope is a free envelope service that allows you to enter in your location and your message and then generate a preview envelope of which you can print from home and glue together. There are two options of map viewing; both satellite and road view which add a beautiful graphical element to sharing your whereabouts.

This would be a great idea for sending out invitations for events (be it weddings or parties) by mapping your intended location point on the envelope and writing a relevant message. A beautiful personalisation technique at a smart price!

Tails.com

You should always read the paper and here's why; because sometimes they have fantastic coupons in them that are too good an opportunity to pass up! And here's the latest coupon that I found in the Metro. Tails.com were offering Metro users a two weeks supply of bespoke dog food for only the £1 postage charge; and as a dog owner of two giant breeds, I knew this to be a good deal so I instantly hopped online to get mine sent to me.

I entered in the details of my pup on their website to develop a personalized meal for her and four days later I've got 2.4kg of biscuits for her to munch and she appears to love them a lot. What's great is that they send it with a measuring cup and bag with her name written on the front so that you know which dog you're feeding. And they send through more coupons to give to your friends.

Using the new coupons I've sent away on Tails.com for some dog feed for my much larger dog (two weeks worth for the £1 charge) and chose to say that I don't feed her anything but the dry food, meaning that they'll send me 9.2kg of biscuits next time around all for the £1 price. And that is a bargain! Even if you were to pay full price it would be a good deal, and with bespoke food and regular delivery dates you'll never run out, especially as they recommend a feeding plan for your dogs ideal diet.

To evaluate this means: 9.2kg of dog biscuits = £1 (only if you check that they don't eat any extra meats) and 2.4kg of dog biscuits = £1 (And to make sure you don't get caught out, use different emails, different addresses and different cards to make the most of your coupons)

If you want a two weeks free trial for just £1, use the code: T34VBT

P.S. don't forget to cancel the following deliveries if you don't want to continue them.

Get a hold of this!

http://www.dutchbydesign.com/hand-le-shiny-aluminium-door-handle
This is one of those quirky products that I just can't wait to get my hands on!

The Hand-le is a hand shaped door knob attachment that when you twist it, it mimics the action of holding or shaking someones hand. How odd yet charming?

Designer Naomi Thellier De Poncheville is on to something with these doorknobs that perfectly imitate a human hand. If you like playing mind games with your house guests these are perfect for you.

Freebies!

I always feel really good when I get a freebie or something I've won in the mail, so I thought I'd share how I got some of my freebies and how you can get your hands on them too!

http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/
The first thing I really have to rave about is this amazing project sharing website that I'm part of called Cut Out & Keep where people upload their projects and can favourite stuff made by other people. It's perfect for budding designers or people with a habit for craft so I'd definitely check it out if it's something that interests you.

Another thing about Cut Out & Keep is that they regularly run competitions on their website where you can get your hands on some cool craft based books. In the past four months I've won five and I've got two in the post! These are awesome books for dipping into when needed and for amazing new craft or recipe ideas.

So far we've got a tea towel (which I didn't attach a picture of because it's quite grubby at the moment) and I'm saving up to get an ornate cake stand. Which is pretty awesome considering the fact that we drink the tea anyways.

The third website that I definitely thinks worth having a look at is Anchor Rewards. You collect codes from your anchor products, enter them in online and can claim cool kitchen equipment. We've got the spoon and the whisk which I'm putting by for when I get my own place, but if you cook frequently and get through anchor butter like theirs no tomorrow than it's a freebie worth grabbing onto.

Another point collecting reward scheme to look into is Jus-Rol rewards for all those pastry makers out there where you can get your hands on baking and cooking essentials.

If you're expecting a little tike soon or are just obsessed with cuddly toys than you can check out the Cow&Gate and Aptamil mother's clubs that let you get your hands on these cute cuddly's. Mine are currently being pulled to bits by my puppy but they're worth grabbing if you do have a little one on the way.

There are tons of other freebies and samples that I get in the post but these are by far the best of the bunch and easy to collect. Have fun being frugal!

Ah, Sweet

My tolerance was severely tested at M&M world, and I promise you that it is not a place to go when you're on a strict diet. Because let's face it; who can possibly resist free chocolate being handed out left right and centre.
First things first, M&M world, is an amazing shop to visit if you're in and around London. Not only is it packed with all our favourite flavours and colours, but there are also an assortment of awesome photo opportunities and activities to immerse yourself in. From a giant British flag made entirely out of M&M's, to a 'guess what colour I am' game, to my all time favourite; the Abbey Road M&M's (of whom are set up in the iconic Beatles crossing position).

Not only do they have four floors worth of chocolate madness, they also have a station where you can personalise your own sweets with pictures and captions to fit your purpose. With M&M's walking around, it is definitely a fun place to visit if in the area!

Pillow Talk

It's been a while since my last post, so I thought I'd kick off with a bang, or er... whatever noise pillows make?

Now this might sound strange, but what if there was one day of the year where it was perfectly acceptable to hit a random stranger with a pillow? Well... Thankfully there is a day especially dedicated to fullfill all of your pillow fighting fantasy's (ok, maybe not all of them) where it is a pillow free for all.

International Pillow Fight Day is held every year, but this is the first year I got to attend (Saturday 5th April 2014) and Trafalgar Square was jam packed with people throwing their pillows about chaotically. It literally looked like there had been a pigeon massacre- there were that many feathers clouding the sky.

Enjoy getting this off your socks!
Nobody was safe from the attack- and I'm pretty sure I got concussion- old, young and foreign alike all got together to throw their pillows about for a landmark day that you're not likely to forget. My advice... Attend next year. But make sure to bring a pillow, leave all breakables at home and prepare to be picking feathers out of your nostrils for a good week.

Disclaimer: (no pigeons were hurt in the making of this day)

"Live well for less!"

Shopping day and I've managed to nab some more freebies. 5 bottles of Sprite, 3 Iced Cappuccino's and 2 packs of nappies- and it didnt cost a single penny. Sainsbury's are currently giving away a free pack of nappies when you spend over £50, so even if you plan to spend over £50 make sure to pick up a pack and give it to someone you know. And for the drinks I used a batch of coupons which with their multibuy offers also got £2.50 off our shopping total.

Glossy Savings

My Body Shop Freebies
It's no news that I'm just a little bit addicted to getting freebies, and The Body Shop Uk are currently doing a deal between 20th June- 30th June in which their giving away free lip balms (completely free, no purchase necessary, just your coupon code). So using this offer I got 7 free flavoured lip balms (retailing at about £3 each). Also, if you spend over £5 in The Body Shop they allow you to sign up to their members club- hence my tub of Passion Fruit body butter- in which you get 10% off your purchase plus a £5 gift on your birthday. Result! So I got my body butter for £4.50 and got signed up to their club- which means technically, in the long run, I've recieved both the body butter and my birthday gift for absolutely free!

Guess How Much?

All of these products, on my trip to Sainsburys for just...

                                                      £2.92

Ever since TLC started airing Extreme Couponing I've gone a little bit overboard with ordering coupons, freebies and samples as well as entering sweepstakes. But after my frist trip with couponing I am glad to say that I am hooked!

I printed off 4 coupons for the Emmi Caffe Latte cappucino drinks which gave me them for absolutely free (as well as a little bit off thanks to the multiple buy money back, bare in mind only one coupon per email) and Sprite are currently offering a free bottle of sprite through their facebook site.  All of the fabric softners I clipped from SuperSavvyMe.com meaning that all four bottles totaled at only £2.92, which means our fabrics will be soft soft soft for quite a while.

I've got more coupons in my pocket, Six coupons for a free lip balm from The Body Shop, and a coupon for 100 completely free tealights at IKEA if you join their 'family'. 2 for 1 on sausage rolls at Greggs and a couple of extra bits. I've also, shamefully, claimed free soft toys from company's such as Cow & Gate and Aptimel by making up an imagiary baby. Oh the things we do for free toys...
